Intellectual Apocolypse - Are YOU A SUCKER?

Are you “sucker”?

· Do you trust the information given to you by others or from the internet to the point that you do not question whether or not it is right or even true?

· Are you the one who copies another’s answers for the points and doesn’t even think or care to make sure what you copied is actually correct? or are you an individual and have your own answers or opinions?

o Is it because you don’t care or have lost your desire to think for yourself?

o Is it the fault of your dependency on technology to think for you?

  1. No i do not trust the information given to me by others or the internet because how do i know the information is true or not.

No i do not copy answers from somebody else because if they got the answer wrong then i woul get the answer wrong. I am a person who would give an answer and wouldn't care if it's right or wrong because at least i tried.

  3. I honestly think I am a "sucker". I do trust the information given to me by others or from the internet, but I don't take it to the point that I don't ask questions whether it is right or wrong because I actually do. I believe the person or internet all the time but at the same time I ask the questions just to double check. I am both, the one who copies and the one who as my own opinions. It depends on what I am answering. If I don't understand what I am learning or talking about, I copy. If I am learning or answering something I understand completely then I do my own work.

  4. I'm not a "Sucker" any more. I used to just look at one website, and keep moving on with out double checking if my info was wrong. After I noticed that my grades where going down, because most of the info I was using was wrong. I stopped being lazy and started checking other websites just to be on the safe side. Also so I can boost my grades back up cause if I didn't I would have got smacked up.

  5. As a teacher, I am concerned since you commented, and most likely many others feel the same way, that "If (you) don't understand what (you are) learning or talking about,(you) copy. If (you are) learning or answering something (you) understand completely then (you) do (your) own work. " Is it fair for me to assume that many of students don't ask for help because they would rather copy? Help me out here!

  6. I am a "sucker" instead of taking the time to do my own research i will look at someone else' online. But i will not copy directly, i often use it for guidance.

  7. I will admit that I can be a "sucker" at times. This is because sometimes I would not be in the mood to do anything and wouldn't even care if the answer is right or wrong, but then there are times when I would like to try for once. I have decided that I will have to start working harder even though if it requires more time into it because if I am copying off others, I am not helping myself.

  8. YESSSSS!!!! If you are "copying off others, (you) are not helping" yourself!! I WISH EVERYONE WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT!

  9. @cyerger Amen! I used to be all about copying from others and stealing their well thought out answers and information. I hadn't a care in the world. I was all about completion and didn't care if the answers were correct or not. I didn't worry about where the answers came from but that my work was done. It was just until last year that i started doing things on my own and for myself. Yes, it did take longer than just copying from a friend or from something off the internet but I sure did know my stuff. It felt great! And you really aren't helping yourself if you copy. I just think its a waste of time anymore. Sure you may have your work complete but how much of that information in which you stole is really going stay with you?
